The correlation Matrix is given by:

The correlation varies between -1 to +1. Values close to 1 is taken as those with a very high positive correlation and those nearer to -1 is taken as those with a very high negative correlation. A value close to 0 is taken as those having no correlation.

Thus if you were to run a multivariate regression using the variables you found significantly correlated to earnings/event, we would choose the variable GIR (%)* and Avg.Score as they have the highest correlation of 0.686 and -0.601 respectively as shown in the correlation matrix. All the other variables such as the Driving Distance, Driving Accuracy(%), Putts/Round and Events only have a very small correlation and thus may not be considered while running a multivariate regression model.
