Explanation / Answer

Among the choices of theories that are available the most applicable theory may be the Traits Theory.

This choice of choosing the Traits theory seems appropriate as I believe that everywhere in the human civilization people work in teams and individuals and their success, failures, likes, dislikes, orientation and actions are outcome of their personal self-ethics and understandings that help them form ideas which convert into their work and performance.

It is thus useful to understand the personality traits which would help me in identifying right people in life and workplace so that planned outcomes can be attained in a collaborative work environment.

The key aspects/ features of the Trait Theory:

Trait theory (also called dispositional theory) is an approach to study human personality. Trait theorists are primarily interested in the measurement of traits, which can be defined as habitual patterns of behavior, thought, and emotion. According to this perspective, traits are aspects of personality that are relatively stable over time, differ across individuals (e.g. some people are outgoing whereas others are not), relatively consistent over situations, and influence behavior. Traits are in contrast to states which are more transitory dispositions.

In some theories and systems, traits are something a person either has or does not have, but in many others traits are dimensions such as extraversion vs. introversion, with each person rating somewhere along this spectrum.

The career aspiration of being a future leader to lead large teams to exhibit great courage in accomplishing organizational roles and responsibilities can well be governed by the Trait Theory enabling to understand the predictive behavior of teams and individuals and identify the right fit for each role adequately.
