therefore 95% confidence interval =mean -/+ z*std error =16.48 and 19.52

d)P(X>19)=1-P(X<19)=1-P(Z<(19-18)/0.7746)=1-P(Z<1.291)=1-0.9016 =0.0984

e)as probability from part d is greater then 0.05 level of signifcance; hence it is not an unusual event for which we do not have sufficient evidence that the mean ACT score at this high school is greater then 18
