this gene is incomplete dominant. 10 pts) 2. Biol is an section of stream ogical stream has been conducted and the number of fish per 75 meter concentration has been counted. (10 pts) the ANOVA table of this regression and test the hypothesis that there is no significant multiple regression relationship. (10 pts) (c) Are all these characteristics good predictors for the abundance of fish in a stream? Which one(s) you would like to keep in your future analysis, which one(s) you would like to remove? Provide

Explanation / Answer

The following is the data table

The equation will be in the form of

Num fish = a0 + a1 * Oxy + a2* Nit + a3* Sulp + a4* Temp

We have the following excel output

i.e Multiple regression equation is

Num fish = -119.485 + 8.539* Oxy+ 7.4086*nit + 5.917 * sulp - 0.069 * Temp

This is the result of ANOVA one way

SInce P value is < 0.05, there is relation between different groups

c) The one with coeffcient which is approximatley equal to 0 in either positive or negitive can be neglected

From the equation above we can see that,

temp- has coeffcient which is nearing to 0 , hencce it can be removed for future ananlysis

The above table when temp is not considered, we can see significance difference in the data in the P value

d) Given,

Num fish = -119.485 + 8.539* Oxy+ 7.4086*nit + 5.917 * sulp - 0.069 * Temp

= 43.66396
