What is the relevance or importance of reporting the F test in the Analysis of Variance table when we already have the t-test results for all of the explanatory variables? (1 point)Explanation / Answer
Answer ques 4.
At the level of significance, to be 0.01 let us state the hypothesis as:
H0= With increase in number of feet of turning circles there is a decrease in mileage per gallon
The two evidences for this case are:
1) Looking at the ANOVA table, the p - value for Turning circles is 0.000103.
Here p(cal) < 0.01 (level of significance)
Hence we accept the null hypothesis.
2) Looking at the correlations table, the two varaibles are negatively correlated (-0.57113). This implies that an increase in one variable would lead to decrease in other and vice versa.
Hence we accept the null hypothesis.
