In survey method, if the source of data is primary, then it is more reliable. By smartphone we can get more primary data than secondary source of data. This is the advantage of smartphone in survey method.
Besides, at the time of survey the person may be absent for his personal job. So, use of smartphone at that time is more preferable...
On the other hand, in survey method use of smartphone may reduce the cost of the survey and also the time of the survey.
