Jody checked the temp 12 times on Monday and the last digit of the temp was odd six times more than it was even. On Tuesday she checked it 18 times and the last digit was odd eight times more than it was even. Which series is closer to the 50/50 ratio of odd/even expected of such a series of temp checks. I picked answer C and missed. How do I figure this problem out? I am doing online and see no examples in my study material to help me with this question.

A: Monday series because 1/6 is closer to 1/2 than is 1/8

B: Monday series because 6/12 is closer to 0.5 than is 8/18.

C: Tuesday series because 13/18 is closer to 0.5 than is 9/12.

D: Series closest to 50/50 cant be determined without knowing number of odd and evens in each series

Ans is A) Monday series because 1/6 is closer to 1/2 than is 1/8

On Monday, odd was 6 times more than it was even hence the ratio is 1:6

Similarly on Tuesday ratio is 1:8

Now we can clearly see that the ratio 1:6 is more closer to 50/50
