(Show your work) (b) Find the probability that a randomly selected students is not a math major, given that the is male. (Show your work) A frequency distribution is shown below. Complete parts (a) and (b).

Explanation / Answer

Q.2 Total Members = 30

(a) How many different possbile committe can be formed, when all the members are different= 30C4

It is because we have to select 4 persons out of 30 people and different combinations can be applied.

(b) Overall possibilities = 30 * 29 * 28 * 27

it is beacuse if we select people randomly for the posts these are the overall possbilities of slecting them.

Q.3 (a) Here given is that the student is a Major , so total number of major students = (394 + 225) = 619

Out of which females are = 225

so Probability = 225/ 619 = 0.3635

(b) Given that student is male so number of males students = 394+ 2004 = 2398

Number of non- majors among that = 2004

so Probability = 2004/ 2398 = 0.8397
