Hi, So i did a survey 15 males and 15 females at my school, the topic is "How many hours of social media per week"

Here are my findings..

Male = 20, 7, 5, 15, 16, 14, 15, 10, 20, 15, 20, 15, 30, 5, 25

Female = 21, 15, 18, 30, 30, 35, 25, 20, 30, 15, 10, 25, 15, 7, 22

Mean = 18.3333

Variance = 63.47126437

Standard deviation = 7.9669

My question is - What is your observation based on the measures of central tendency and dispersion?

• Interpret the values. Basically, from the given mean, variance, and standard deviation, what can you observe?

By the measure of central tendency:

The mean is 18.3333. It shows that number of hours of social median per week is on an average is 18.33 hours per week.

The measure of dispersion:

The spread of the distribution is showed by variance, It shows that variablity in the data is measured by variance.
