B.) Does a lavender odor encourage customers to spend more, while in the restaraunt? Examine the spending data. In what ways do these data deviate from Normality? Explain why, with 30 observations, the "t" procedures are reasonably accurate for these data. Use the two sample "t" test to answer the question posed.

Explanation / Answer

a)

Null Hypothesis: No odor and Lavender has no effect of encouraging customer to stay for longer time

Aletrnative Hypothesis: Lavendar odor encourages customer to stay for longer time.

Level of significance : 0.05

Test statisic two sample t test.

Conclusion: Since the p-value is 0.00 which is less than 0.05, hence we reject null hypothesis and conclude that Lavender odor encorages customer to spent more time.

b)

Null Hypothesis: There is no difference in Euro spent of no ordor compare Euro spent in Lavender odor.

Alternative Hypothesis: There is significant difference in Euro spent of no ordor compare Euro spent in Lavender odor.

Level of significance: 0.05

Conclusion: Since the p-value is 0.00 which is less than 0.05, hence we reject the null hypothesis and conclude Lavender encourages to spend more euro.
