Question
True or False
1. The probability of Type I error is referred to as the significance level of the test. T/F?
2. Reducing the probability of a Type II error also reduces the probability of a Type I error. T/F?
3. In goodness-of-fit tests, the chi-square analysis is applied for the purpose of examining whether two nominal-scale variables are related to each other. T/F?
4. For all practical purposes, the test for equality of proportions is really just a special case for the independence of two variables. T/F?
5. Although the chi-square distribution is continuous, it is used to analyze discrete (counts) data. T/F?
6. Using the randomized block design allows the reduction of the amount of error variation. T/F?
7. Comparing the variation between the groups to the variation within the groups is the basis of ANOVA. T/F?
8. The one-way ANOVA is also referred to as the one-factor, completely randomized design, since the treatments are randomly assigned to all of the persons or other test units in the experiment. T/F?
9. The coefficient of determination is a number that indicates both the direction and the strength of the linear relationship between the dependent and independent variable. T/F?
10. Multiple regression analysis examines the linear relationship between a dependent variable (y) and two or more independent variables (x1, x2, and so on). T/F?

Answer is TRUE
The coefficient of determination is a number that indicates both the direction and the strength of the linear relationship between the dependent and independent variable. T/F?
The correlation value lies from -1 to 1. When correlation is less than 0 then the movement between the 2 variables is opposite. When correlation is more than 0 then the movement between the 2 variables is same. When the value correlation is near 1 or -1 then strenght is high otherwise towards 0 it is weak.
