During and NCAA Tournament game, Fred gets fouled on a last second three-point shot (at the end of regulation). He goes to the line to shoot three free throws. His team is trailing by two points. Fred shoot free throws at 75% P = 0.75

three free throws each of three points (if not missed)

a)

For MTC to loose fred has to miss all throws

hence P = 0.25 * 0.25 * 0.25 = 0.015625

for game to go in to over time they have to equal the score which is not possible as they trail by 2 points and minimum they can get is 3

hence P = 0

Probability of winning = 1 - probbility of loosing = 1 - 0.15625 = 0.984375
