c)P(AUB)=P(A)+P(B) as both the events are mutually exhaustive

=0.3+0.5=0.8

d)P(ArnBr)=1-P(AUB)=1-0.8=0.2

18) there are (4+5=9) bulbs out of 15 which are not 75W.

for at least two bulbs to be selected for 75W bulb =P(first bulb should not be of 75 Watt) =(4+5)/15 =9/15
