a) from geometric distribution, probability that you will make your first sale on fifth call =P(in first 4 days no sale, and fifth day sale happens) =(1-0.12)4(0.12) =0.0720
b)probability to make your sale on first, second or third call =P(sale on first call+no sale on first*sale on second+no sale on first 2 *sale on third call) =0.12+(1-0.12)*0.12+(1-0.12)*(1-0.12)*0.12 =0.3185
c) as sale on an indivdual day is an independent event;
hence probabilty to no sale on first 3 calls =(1-0.12)3 =0.6815
