Question
As a health administrator, you will most likely find it necessary to examine the association of one variable with another. Come up with a scenario relevant to your area of interest where you would want to examine the association between two variables. What would your null and alternative hypothesis be? How and where would you set your critical value for your test of significance? What role did sample size play in this decision?
Note - When answering this question use a healthcare or public health example. Please be very clear with the scenario. Thanks.
Explanation / Answer
Null hypothesis is there is no association between two variables
Alternative hypothesis is there is association between two variables.
And the calculated t value is set by using r and n in formula
And critical t is df n-2 and alpha level of significance .
By using sample size we get critical value. So on sample size depend on decision.
