In the IT industry though lot of analysis and documentation of the problem is done stil they get failed on a scale of 68% which is a very high number. There are many reasons for the projects failure which are responsible for project failures, few of them are listed below,
1) Poorly defined project scope: After identifying the problem and realize that there is no scope for this new project in the future then it is waste of time and money.
2) Lack of experience and training of project manager: The entire project rests on the shoulder of project manager, he is responsible for the start, execution, managing and end of the project. If he is not capable of doing it then the problem will prolong and no solution is found.
3) Use of old methods and strategies: Knowledge should always be upgraded time to time old methods will never work for the present problmes.
4) Lack of diversity: When a project is decided and tried to be solved it should be thought in all the possible ways.
There are so many other reasons for failure if one project fails and delays it stops the upcoming of the other project which is next to it due to lack of management, money, time.
Healthcare exchange website was thought of initiating in united states but failed because all the local hospitals didnt have the accesebility of online filling systems instead they used local paper enrollment and it needed large data base. Due to lack of these that has been not implemented.
