Here mean=68.4 and sd=2

a. P(x<68), as it is given that distribution is normal we will convert x to z

so z=x-mean/sd=68-68.4/2=-0.2

So we need to find P(z<-0.20)=0.5+P(0<=z<=-0.2)=0.5-0.0793=0.4207

b. P(68<x<72)=P(68-68.4/2<z<72-68.4/2)=P(-0.2<z<1.8)=P(0<z<1.8)-P(0<z<-0.2)=0.4641=0.0793=0.5433
