Question
Is there a faster way to formulate an answer for a question of probabilities , for example when you have a probability that has N=10 and they ask you for all probabilities 2 or greater ? Or do you have to use the formula for binomial equation and figure out 2 -10 then add all together? Is there a faster way to formulate an answer for a question of probabilities , for example when you have a probability that has N=10 and they ask you for all probabilities 2 or greater ? well. we use binomial distribution when there are two possibilites i.e. the success and failure
you just have to use the following equation
b(x; n, P) = nCx * Px * (1 - P)n - x ; b(x; n, P) isthe probability of getting exactly x no. of successes in total n trials and p is the probability of success in each trial.
this can be further expanded to:
b(x; n, P) = n!/(x!)(*n-x)! Px * (1 - P)n - x
this is not a lengthy method.
what you can do is that you can memorise factorial values up to 10 i.e. 1! 2! 3!.........10!
this will make your calculations faster in exams.
yes till now this is the fastest method for such type of problems.
