Explanation / Answer

Answer

The mean of the distribution is the expected value or average value which is integration of value product probability. As the values and corresponding probability is fixed for a particular distribution so the mean is fixed and unique. There cannot be two mean.

NOw on the other hand median is the value which have 50% data under it. So for continuous variable it is one but for discrete variable it can be two based on possible number of values which can be even or odd ( like binomial even poisson though poisson have countable infinite values).

Lastly mode is the number of observations which has highest density or probability (depending it is continuous or discrete) which can be more than one.

So the right answer is

It is possible for a distribution to have two medians or two modes

hence the answer...........
