A survey was conducted to determine how many New York city children (age 12 and under) have access to guns in their homes New York City is divided in to 59 districts. The researchers randomly selected two districts (Bronx and Flushing). They then selected 25 primary schools in each of these two districts. Questionnaires were distributed to the parents of all children in these 50 schools. What is the secondary sampling unit? Describe a source of bias in this study. a) Cluster sampling.

Cluster sampling is a sampling technique used when "natural" but relatively heterogeneous groupings are evident in a statistical population. It is often used in marketing research. In this technique, the total population is divided into these groups (or clusters) and a simple random sample of the groups is selected.

Here the two districts are hetrogeneous with in the group but homogenous when compared with all 59 districts.
