Question

The question is:

1. Is the mean price for a week 5000?

So i want to show this on SPSS, my question is now what exactly do i do in SPSS to find the mean price for a week? I will only be using the column for "days" and "price". So i think i only have to take the price next to 7 days since it's a week, and what do i enter in SPSS in order to find the mean price for a week?

What i would like to know: In order to answer this question, i need only the prices for the "7 days/1 week", how do i make SPSS isolate the price of 7 days so i can get the mean for this only without including the price for 14 days?

(Note: The data is larger than the screenshot, but it was not possible to get all of it in a screenshot, so i simply took a small part of it)

One way to do is in SPSS

Analyze

   Compare Means

               Means

Select the variable price in dependent list   and days in independent list

Ok

you will get mean and standard deviations for both 7 and 14 days.

Other methd is

Data    Select cases   if condition is satified       days =7    OK
