The function y- f(e) graphed below gives their distanoe froe school (in ft) t minutes after they left school. d (ft) 200 10 r (min) a. Use the graph to answer the following . What is the average speed going to the park? How long was the class at the park? How far away is the park? b. Graplh the function 0.5(0) on the same coordinate plane abovwe, and use it to answer the following related to the graph of the e How is the graph of the new fuExplanation / Answer
As per Chegg rules, you can get answers to just 1 question (with maximum 4 parts) in one post.
Please post the other questions in a separate post, and I will be happy to answer that as well.
(a)
1. Notice that in the graph, the distance is increasing till 10 min, and the became constant.
It means they reached the part in 10 min after starting.
so till 10 min, they were going to the park.
Slope of this line will be average speed of the students going to the park.
Another way to calculate avg. speed is to take ratio of total distance and total time.
so average speed = total distance/total time = 800/10 = 80 ft/ min
(2)
For the time period, class was at the park, the distance would be same from school.
from t = 10 to t = 30 the distance is 800 ft.
so answer is 30 - 10 = 20 minutes
(3)
Park is 800 ft away (notice the distance at t = 10 min)
