the null hypothesis = Ho= u = 98.6

the alternate hypothesis = Ha= u<98.6

the n = 300

therefore we can treat it as normal

the z stat = (x-mean)/(standard devition/sqrt(n))

= (98.4-98.6)/(1/sqrt(300)

= -3.46

therefore from the z table the p value = 0.000

as the significance level = 0.01

and the p value is less then the significance level therefore we can reject the null hypothesis therefpore option 3 is correct
