(1) Each teacher teaches exactly two subjects. (2) Ms. Anderson is the youngest of the three teachers. (3) The math teacher and Ms. Evens always go swimming together (4) The chemistry teacher lives in the same house as the math teacher. (S) The physics teacher is younger than Mr. Knight; the biology teacher, on the other hand, is younger than the physics teacher. (6) The eldest of the three teachers lives alone nearest to the school. Can you figure out who teaches which subjects?

Explanation / Answer

Let there be 6 subjects denoted by the first alphabet of their names given by: M,P,C,B,E and H
We know that Anderson is youngest
We also know the eldest teacher lives alone; and we know that the math teacher and Evens always go swimming together; and the math teacher lives with the chemistry teacher; By this we can say that the Math teacher is Anderson and the eldest is Knight and Evens is mid aged;
So we can say that chemistry teacher (Evens) lives together with the math teacher;  

So Based on the deductions so far :
Age wise : Knight > Evens(Chemistry) > Anderson (Maths)
Also, Biology teacher is younger than physics teacher who is younger than Knight
So  Knight > Evens(Chemistry, Physics) > Anderson (Maths, Biology)

The remaining subjects of History and English are taught by Mr. Knight

Thus, Mr Knight teaches History and English
Ms Evens teaches Chemistry and Physics
Mr Anderson teaches Maths and Biology
