(i) For Two or less and salary under $ 10000 = 79 * 45/ 150 = 23.7

similarly we can calulated other values

(d) Value of chi - square X2 = (Oi - Ei)2 /Ei = 32.6362

so for dF = 2 and alpha = 0.05 and X2 critical = 5.991

so we can reject the null hypothesis and can claim that the number of children any couple have is dependent of the salary they draw.
