1.Mary total need 12 grey tiles i.e 4 more tiles from the previous pattern to make the next pattern.

2.The no of tiles in pattern are {4,8,12,...}

If we simplify that will be 4n where n is the pattern number

Therefore (4*6)=24 tiles she needs to make the pattern 6.

3.Mary uses 48 tiles.That is 4n=48 i.e n=12

So she is making pattern no 12

4.The no of tiles needed is 4n where n is the number of pattern.
