Question
Two lines, with equations written in "slope-intercept" formare identical (are actually a single line) if and only if theequations are identical (i.e., two different "slope-intercept"equations describe different lines). True or False? Please explain why. Two lines, with equations written in "slope-intercept" formare identical (are actually a single line) if and only if theequations are identical (i.e., two different "slope-intercept"equations describe different lines). True or False? Please explain why.Explanation / Answer
If two equations describing lines are the same then there are infinitely many solutions to the system because both lines go forever. So it would be true if the two equations are the same(equal) then each one descibes the same line and the same solution for one of the equations would be the same for the other because they both are the same line.
