For a parallelogram to be a rectangle the diagonal and two adjacentsides must form a right triangle. Therefore, due to pythagorianstheorem, a2 + b2 = c2. Inyour problem the sides are 21 and 28 and a diagonal of 35. 212 + 282 = 352 1225 = 1225 The corners of the parallelogram are right angles and therefore itis a rectangle.
