Question
suppose the point (8,12) is on the graph of y=f(x). Find apoint on the graph of each function. 17. y=f(4x) I am not sure what to do everytime I work it out I get (32,12) and thats not right. I start out by pluging in 8 for x and then solve for y. I'mstuck? suppose the point (8,12) is on the graph of y=f(x). Now look at y = f(4x). The method is to just let whateverinside f to be 8, whatever f(x) equals to to be 12, then solve forx and y.
That is, 4x = 8 y = 12
--> x = 2 y = 12
so (2, 12) should be on the graph y = f(4x)
