If we found out the percentage of gypsum mines having dangerous exhalation rates, our problem will be solved. Hence, in order to solve the problem we calculate the percentage of gypsum mines which had exhalation rates greater than or equal to 5000, as 5000 is considered a dangerous exhalation rate
first, we will locate the bars on the bar graph that account for exhalation rates greater than 5000.
The bars at 6000, 8000, 10000 and 12000 are the only ones taht exceed exhilerate midpoint 5000.
we will ignore the exhilerate midpoint 8000, as the length of bar (or percentage of mines) corresponding to 8000 is zero.
now, we are left with exhilerate midpoints, 6000, 10000 and 12000
each of these three exhilerate mid points have one level of bar.
Now, observing the graph we conclude,
5 levels of bar = 20% ( see the first bar corresponding to exhilerate mid point 2000)

1 level of bar = 20/5 = 4%
hence, the total percentage of gypsum mines which have dangerous exhalation rates are:
