Occupany rate 85% = 85/100 ×300 =255 beds
Total available time for a made is 7 am to 3 pm, i. e. = 8 hours = 480 minutes
But as the maid takes 10 minutes breaks for 2 times so, Total time available for a maid = 480 - 20 =460 minutes
(1) Time taken to clean a room = 4+8+3+3+4+2+1+1.2+0.6 = 26.8 minutes
( to obtain new sheets for every 10 rooms it takes 12 minutes so for 1 room it will take = 12/10 = 1.2 minutes
To obtain cart suoolies for every 20 rooms it takes 12 minutes so for 1 room it will take = 12/20 = 0.6 minutes)
(2) Total time taken to clean 255 rooms = 255 × 26.8 = 6834 minutes
And a maid has only 460 minutes
Number of maids required = 6834/460 = 15 maids ( approx)
