1. An example is blood pressure. We generally want the blood pressure should not fluctuate much and should remain within a tight range. A large variation can have adverse health impact.
2. An example could be the Time spent on a leisure activity, let's say reading a book, or going out on a vacation. This time spent on such activity can be large when there is a vacation, as compared to when at work or attending school/college. This is because we shouldn't spend the same time on leisurley activity all the time.
3. Weight could be an outlier in this case. An weight of 156 pounds could be a bit on the higher side for an age of 54 and height of 5' 6".
