a) SUM = 469 , n= 9 and mean = SUM/n= 469/9= 52.11

Variance

Variance = 2368.889/9= 263.209

Std= sqrt(263.209)= 16.22

b) adding 150cents in the group is

New mean will be = 619/10= 61.9

new variance = 1099.29

std= sqrt(1099.29)= 33.155

NEW STANDARD DEVIATION IS 2 TIMES HIGHER THAN THE PREVIOUS STANDARD DEVIATION.
