v. The person was at least 85 years old given that they died from a fall.

b) Using only the results from part a, explain whether age and cause of death are independent.

c) Using the figures in the table, can you determine the probability that a person selected randomly from the U.S. population was between the ages of 25-34 and had a fatal motor vehicle accident in 2011. If yes, find the probability. If no, explain what additional information is needed.

ii.) The total number of death due to different types of reason are sum of all the totals that is 228191.

Out of that 191917 people died due to other reason than poisoning.

Therefore, probability of the event is 191917/228191=0.84
