Explanation / Answer
Answer to the question)
a. Cluster sampling: in this scenario , there are groups based on different prefixs. 10 such groups are completed selected, no number from different group is represented in the sample. Such a sampling is called cluster sampling
.
b. Convienience sampling: In this scenario , we prefer the nearest nursing home to conduct the research . Such a sampling method includes comfort and hasslefree easy access to the sampling units. This method is called convinience sampling
.
c. systematic: In this scenario a sequence is set to select the sampling units. every 20th bottle is included in the sample. Such a sample is system or sequence generated. this method of sampling is called Systematic sampling
.
d. Simple Random sampling:
10 people are selected randomly from 3 different age groups. In this case the selection is purely random , hence this method of sampling is called Simple Random Sampling
.
e. Stratified Sampling:
In this scenario , firstly the entire population is divided into homogeneous groups ( males and females). And then 10 people from each group are selected. In this manner all the groups get represented equally in the sample. Such a sampling technique is called Stratified sampling.
