Explanation / Answer

1.1.d

Viruses are acellular and non living. They do have a genetic material but cannot replicate it own their own, they hijack the cellular machinery of the host to replicate.

1.2.b

Viruses infect human and cause a never of diseases like influenza, HIV etc. Since they depend entirely on the host cell's machinery for their replication they are obligate parasites. they reproduce and assemble within the host cell and through exocytosis or cell lysis more viruses are released to infect other cells.

1.3. b

A single bacteria gives rise to two daughter cells, this method of replication is called binary fission.

1.4. b.

Bryophytes dont have vascular system, they are mosses, liverworts etc. They only have conduction type cells

1.5.c. sporophylls, they are of two types microsporophylls and megasporophyll

2.1. virus

2.2. pathogen; baceria, viruses, protozoa they all cause diseases and are called pathogens

2.3. seed; ovum becomes the fruit and ovules become the seeds

2.4. exine; exine is made of sporopollenin which makes it resistant to environment hazards

2.5. symbiosis, like a leguminous plant and nitrogen fixation bacteria

2.6. immunity. Immune system of an organism enables the organism to protect itself from harmful foreign antigens.
