Petroleum and coal can meet demands of United States for decades to come but it is not environment friendly locally and globally because there are many treaties and cooperation working for it and United States support nearly all of them. It is going to a psychologically affect others to fulfill their responsibility.
a) To obtain electricity from the hydrogen gas; it is conveyed to fuel cells where it combines with oxygen and the result is a chemical reaction that generates electricity and heat. The byproduct of this chemical reaction is water and carbon that is used to produce methane and coal. It can also be burnt to power vehicle engine. There are some benefits of hydrogen gas-
A) It is a renewable energy source and bountiful in supply.
B) It is practically clean energy source and non-toxic.
C) The byproducts of hydrogen reaction is used to produce further energy source items.
b)Although hydrogen is bountiful in supply but it is not found in a separate manner. We can get it through a chemical reaction.
Note- the chemical reaction discussed in question 1 also applies here.
c) There are some risks of converting to a hydrogen economy. There is a risk of leaking of hydrogen gas while we convert it to energy. It lacks smell and so very difficult to detect and it is much inflammable. So in few seconds it can harm potentially.
