Therefore option 2 i.e most of the outgoing infrared radiation is absorbed by earth's atmosphere. Hence option 2 forms a part of energy exchange within earth's atmosphere. But if we consider option 4 we find that atmosphere is heated by earth's surface; not earth' s surface is heated by atmosphere.

Hence the correct answer is option 4 i.e Most of the infrared radiation that is adsorbed by Earth's atmosphere goes into warming the Earth's surface doesn't describe the nature of energy exchanges within Earth's Climate System.
