The answer given for Volume is V = 104.35 cm3 PV = nRt but I don't know how to start this problem

For the water to boil at 100 degrees centigrade the pressure of the water inside the container should match with that of outside the container, since the piston is free to move.

So, pressure of the gas = 100 kpa = 100 000/101 325 atm = 0.9869

mass of water = .1 kg
moles = 100/18 = 5.5555555

Using ideal gas equation
0.9869*V = 5.555 * .08214*373
V = 5.555 * .08214*373/ 0.9869
Volume = 172.4544 liter
