Question
Thw two springs are identicle, with unstretched lengths of 250mm. Suppose that their spring constant "k" is unknown and the sum of the masses of blocks A and B is 10kg. Determine the value of k and the masses of the two blocks.
It is harder than it seems, It just seems as if they don't provide enough numbers to figure it out.

it's simple budy...don't be confuse go through these 2 equations
according to free body daigram of block A.....
K*0.05=(9.81*M)+(0.03*K)...................(1)
according to Free body daigram of body B....
(10-M)*9.81=0.03*K..............................(2)
solving above equations we get,
K=1962 N-m
M=4kg
so Mass of body A=4 kg
Mass of body B=6kg
