Question
Thermodynamics: An Engineering Approach 6th Edition,Yunus A. Cengel, Michael A. Boles, problem 3-34;One kilogram of water vapor at 200kPa fills the 1.1989-m^3 left chambers of a partitioned system. The right chamber has twice the volume of the left and is initially evacuated. Determine the pressure of the water after the partition has been removed and enough heat has been transferred so that the temperature of the water is 3 degree Celsius.
What is partition system? Also I am confuse on the solution of this problem;
Step 3, second paragraph that starts
Explanation / Answer
Yes but please read the question
It says final temperature is T2 3 C
If you see in Table A-4 3.5967 lies between vf and vfg for 3 C
hence we have to find saturation pressure corresponding to 3 C
which is P2 = P sat 3 C = 0.768 KPa
