Global Warming: It is process of increasing the temperature of the atmosphere by CO2 emission pollution. CO2 as a pollutant in the atmosphere absorbs solar radiation and further heats the atmosphere. This it is increasing temperature and causing greenhouse effect and Global warming.
Global Climate Change: Human activities like industrialisation, traffic pollution, deforestation etc. disturbing the natural environment and causing Global climate change. In place of smooth rains flood or droughts are occurring. In every summer the temperature increasing there by creating hot climate.
Global warming and climate changing are occurring due to destroying natural environment. The human population is growing rapidly. To sustain human need we are increasing industries, agricultural lands, cutting forest, more consumption of water resources creating all the problems.
We need electric power for comfortable and luxurious life. For that purpose we have started coal mining and power generation. Both these activities generating heavy quantities of CO2 and methane gases and polluting environment. The increase of carbon content in the atmosphere reacts with solar radiation and reheats the atmosphere. Because of this greenhouse effect and global warming is taking place.
Global warming also effecting and thinning ozone layer. Ozone layer protect us from son’ ultraviolet rays. The incidence of powerful ultraviolet rays causes skin cancer also effect vegetation. Our use of fertilizers and pesticides in agriculture killing many useful organisms and polluting water and damaging ecosystem. The use of plastics is becoming a big global issue now. It is polluting soil, water and air. Recent studies shows plastic fines in the stomach of animals, birds and fishes and effecting their health. We are eating such things and it may effect our heath also on long term basis. Deforestation not only increasing temperature and also causing landslides.
Global warming taking place and temperature has gone up by 1.4°F from 1888 to present time. In India the maximum temperature used to be around 47°C has been increasing and breaking records by increasing up to 51°C in desert area. The Global warming can also be evidenced by increasing heat effecting yield of crops. Our scientists research in Poles on ice caps shows that melting of ice caps taking place due to global warming. If this process continues it will cause sea level rising and submerge many land areas along sea coasts.
To minimise CO2 release we have to stop coal mining and their power plants. In their place we have to use shale gas, solar power, hydropower and wind power etc. Solar, wind and hydropower are renewable and environmental friendly, so we have to increase their usage.
Some scientists view that Global warming and greenhouse effects not changing climate much and such cycles are evidenced earlier also. But it is not correct. Global warming taking place at very slow place. Their effects in few decades may not be noticeable. But they are going to effect as we are feeling environmental degradation and polluting. These pollutions going to effect atmosphere there by leading to global warming. Now we can see reduction in forest land area, pollution of air due to traffic and industries, pollution of air, water and soil due pollutants. These are the direct evidences causing change in Globl climate and leading global warming.
