Question
Hello, can someone have a crack at this Fourier series problem please?
Find the fourier series for the function, and show the computations for the constants 'a' and 'b' of the series
f(t) = { 0 -pi < t < 0
{ t 0 <= t <= pi
PART 2: This part I would understand if you can't do, but I thought I should put it anyway incase someone actually knows how to do it!
Using Matlab, plot the resulting series for n=1,3,5,7,9, and 11 for t = -4 to 4
Show each plot separately for every 'n', with the original function f(t) and the series (summed up to 'n') superimposed on the same plot. Use two different colors.
N.B: you will find that as 'n' increases the series will converge to f(t)
Explanation / Answer
USing the following formulae:
we get a0 = pi/2
an = -2
bn = 2t
