Explanation / Answer

Is it safe to save all your data and work only on the lab computer? Why?

When we store in D-Drive it is good for temporary storage of your work only. But these are cleaned at regular intervals.

The best option is USB Drive because it is secure. And it is under your control, and accessible only to you. And if you need you can have a new CD or DVD each time you work in the Lab.

Data & GIS Lab workstations are cleaned at anytime for data or documents as needed, and often without notification.
