Topic: Discusss major lifestyle changes that some humans need to adopt in order to provide sustainable solutions to minimize earth's current environmental degredations thretening life (on planet earth). In other words, discuss life style changes for the 5-10% most affluent human population that will drastically reduce the excessive and irresponsible cosumption of resources and consequent production of waste ( by 5-10% most affluent humans) .

I would suggest a few points and give a brief description,you may further elaborate it as per your requirement.

The lifestyle changes that can help protect the environment are :-

1) Use car less : The people should be motivated to use more of the public transport systems rather than using their private vehicles for transportation,they should be motivated to walk or use bicycles for short distance travel instead of using automobiles.This will help control the pollution rate and would certainly help make environment a better place.

2)Reduce the intake of red meat :The common sources of red meat are cows and bulls,which produce an enormous amounts of climate changing greenhouse gases like methane. Reduction in red meat consumption will curb their numbers and will certainly reduce the emission of such gases and toxins.

3)Invest in companies researching on renewable energy. -

As has been mentioned,I am concerned with the 5-10% affluent humans who are wealthy enough,so they could certainly invest in companies which are working on renewable energy sources. This will certainly give a boost to such companies and will help better the environment,not to mention increased profits.

4)Share your green ideas : These certain percentage of humans we are concerned of, can avail all the facilities required to spread and share ideas related to sustainable development and environment welfare.More awareness among the people will certainly help make this place a better place.
