A) The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is mostly made up of plastic, chemical sludge, debris trapped by North Pacific Gyre.
B) It causes various problems to the marine life and consequently to human life. Sea-turtles and albatrosses are affected directly from consumption of plastic. New generations become unable survive and face threatening of extinction. Other fish species are also got affected from organic pollutants coming from industrial waste and chemical sludge. Human beings eat those fish and they also get affected badly.
