GEOMETRY Exam 3 Continued Items 7-9: Use the diagram at right. 7. Based on the diagram to the right, complete each statement LI and L are corresponding angles. are alternate exterior angles. L3 and L 0 are alternate interior angles L5 and L are vertical angles. L4 and L are consecutive interior angles. Line is a transversal. 8. Explanation / Answer

since p||q

so, m<1+m<2=180

given that m<1=125

so, 125+m<2=180

      m<2=180-125

     m<2=55

and for m<1 + m<3=180

            m<3=55

same as m<3 + m<4=180

          so m<4 = 125

since m<1 and m<5 are corresponding angles, so that m<1 = m<5

so,    m<5=125

and for last m<6 make alternate interior angle with m<3, so that m<3 = m<6

so,    m<6=55
