Question
It is likely that most participants in this course have had jobs - some of us many different ones. Your instructor has been a janitor, typewriter repair person (I am dating myself with that one), bus boy, construction laborer (probably my most dangerous jobs), geologist, and teacher (among many, many other occupations). The number of hazards that I have faced are extensive, but probably not much different than many of you have faced. Identify at least 3 different hazards you have been exposed to in the workplace. Start by identifying the occupation you were in at that time and describe the specific hazard in detail. Did you fear for your health and safety in any of these situations? Why or why not? Please refrain from identifying who your employer was for those jobs.
