Explanation / Answer

1. A keystone species in a community is one that other species depend on.

Keystone species are actually predators and the whole ecosystem is dependent on them. It may be a plant or animal species.

2. An exotic species for an area in an extinct species.

Exotic species falls under thanatocoenosis or death assemblage fossils which are transported or drifted from their origin and become fossil elsewhere. Exotic means the species are fossilized in a contemporaneous environment.

3. As biodiversity disappears, the biosphere will become less able to adapt to change.

Biodiversity includes all animals and plants living in the earth and dependent on each other for living purpose. Biosphere means the ecosystem of the earth. So if biodiversity disappears, there will be no species for living and the whole ecosystem will come at a standstill. There will be no biosphere also.

4. Charismatic species have wide geographic ranges.

Charismatic species are large sized with wide distribution. Therefore they are used to determine the environment.
