According tot eh rumors that i heard when i was a patient in the hospital, Dr. Coates the cardiologist ans the gastroenterologist were all sorority sisters in college. the cardiologist and the gastroenterologist were legally married to each other . Dr Mavis and the hematologist are engaged to be married to each other. Marvin and his girlfriend play bridge each week with the gastroenterologist and her husband. If exactly three of these statements are true, what is each person's medical specialty?

Since they tell us Dr. Coates was the cardiologist we have one down. The gastroenterologist must also be a female because she was a sorority sister. Since the gastroenterologist is married to the cardiologist, it cannot be MandleBaum or Marvis because they are both only engaged/with a girlfriend. Thus the gastroenterologist has to be Rowe. Then Since Marvis is engaged to the hematologist, that only leaves Mandlebaum to be the hematologist (since marvis cannot be enganged to herself lol). Therefore Marvis is left to be the endocrinologist because all other jobs are taken up by the rest of the people.
